In a burst of entrepreneurial daring, The Hayes' resolved to turn their most beloved diversions of golf, eating and drinking into a means of supporting their families. Hence, the British Open Pub was born. The British Open Pub pays homage to golf’s greatest traditions; St. Andrews’ Caddy Scottie McKenzie, the British Open, and the camaraderie of the 19th Hole.
Our original location in the Village at Wexford on Hilton Head opened it doors in 1998 and has remained an Island tradition ever since. We are proud to serve the lowcountry for over 25 years and continuing to develop our reputation as restaurateurs on our small community. Our Hilton Head Pub has the pleasure of being the island's first true golfer's pub, with the world's only "Titliest Bar." Welcoming returning visitors from all over the world each year is a joy to us. As well as being one of the locals’ top choice of restaurants is quite rewarding to our family.
In 2012, we opened a British Open Pub in Bluffton. Our newest location is located in Sheridan Park along Hwy 278. Titleist was generous enough to contribute to our second “ Titleist Bar”. The Bluffton BOP also features a large screened in patio to enjoy full service dining with large screen televisions and a fireplace.
Thanks to your support The British Open Pub Invitational has raised over $216,000.00 to help local youths!!! Last year we raised over $25,000. Proceeds will go to The British Open Pub Junior Golf Program at the Island Recreation Center as well as The British Open Pub - Kevin Hayes Memorial College Scholarship Fund @ The Community Foundation of The Lowcountry.
We awarded $14,000 in scholarships, leaving a balance of $8,000 in reserve at the
Community Foundation for next year, then the remaining balance is funding The BOP Jr. Golf Program at The Island Rec Center. This year’s recipients are:
Julissa Pozos- awarded $7,000.00 - graduate of Hilton Head High School ,she will attend The Darla Moore School of Business at The University of South Carolina.
Mark Adam Eudy- awarded $5,000.00 - He was home schooled, during that time has accomplished so much as a chef, will attend The Culinary Institute in New York City.

Your generosity truly makes it a reality for Bluffton /Hilton Head graduating seniors that meet our criteria of -Financial Need, Academic Achievement and Community Involvement to be able to begin college. What a great gift we can give to them!
Thanks to all of our sponsors and hard working volunteers we are able to give back to our community.
